The Dales and Borrowdale Suites are designed to care for clients who have been assessed as needing residential dementia care (EM(D))
Dales suite has twelve bedrooms of which eleven are en-suite with the twelfth having facilities across the corridor whilst our new endeavour Borrowdale Suite will when fully open have 16 rooms the majority en-suite. All rooms are fully equipped and include washbasins and nurse call facilities.
The doors to both units are secured by a key pad hence residents have complete freedom to move around the entire units without risk of losing their way or compromising their security.
The units have multiple bathrooms and shower rooms and can cater for all levels of assisted or independent bathing. The dining rooms overlooks the garden and form part of large conservatories. Residents and their families may choose to use the kitchen facilities provided for personal cooking and laundry.
The staff on both units have the skills and experience to deliver care and encourage independence wherever possible and appropriate. Staff receive dementia specific training and we make use of a Dignity Champion to promote the sympathetic care of those living with dementia. Every resident is treated as an individual and we aim to deliver a personalised programme of care to meet their exact needs. Each resident is assessed prior to admission to ensure that their needs can be appropriately met and we encourage and welcome information and feedback from relatives in order to achieve this.
