Home service refers to all non-nursing services that ensure the safe, efficient and smooth running of Total Care.
Reception
Reception is open from 08:30 until 20:30 every weekday and from 09:00 to 18:00 at weekend. The reception manager welcomes all visitors to Total Care and will help with any information or queries that occur. Whilst visiting times are open, reception maintains a record of visitors on arrival and departure in order to maintain security. Visiting outside reception hours is facilitated by the use of a night bell at the front door.
Housekeeping
The Housekeepers are a vital force in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness throughout Total Care. Each suite has its own team of Housekeepers who carry out general housekeeping duties and any special cleaning needs or requests on a daily basis. The Home Service Manager will make a personal introduction within a few days of a resident’s admission so that clients are comfortable and aware of the staff around them.
Laundry
The laundry ensures the daily washing and drying of all linen throughout Total Care including resident’s clothes and bed linen. Laundry staff work throughout the day from early morning until evening with the Home Service Manager available for information or queries until 16:00 each day. To help keep track of resident’s clothing, Total Care provides a labelling service where required.
